I have spent the last 10 months calling my class, your children, my "kids" and now am sending them off to 4th grade (and beyond!). It truly has been an amazing year and I just wanted to thank everyone for the support, the time, and hard work on making this year the wonderful year that it was.
On the last day I have held the tradition of holding a "3rd Grade Vigil", where we turn off the lights and take turns reminiscing on our favorite memories and what we will miss from 3rd grade. I am never sure how long to dedicate to such an activity as the personality and culture of each class is so different. This year, however, was the first year where the class was practically fighting over time to share their thoughts and feelings. That to me is a beautiful thing. Fitting, for a beautiful class.
I am lucky to be able to do what I love. I am also lucky to be apart of the Queen Anne Elementary community. I am lucky to call these 25 students my class, my family, my inspiration, my friends, and my biggest fans. Thank you.
P.S. I uploaded all of the Persuasive Speeches under the Writing tab. Relieve the amazing hard work and passion these young leaders put into their writing!
